The Adoption Process document details the steps involved in adopting a bird from us. The Adoption Application, which is designed to obtain as much information as we can from a potential adopter before we proceed with an adoption, needs to be filled out as completely as you can. In addition, the adopter will be required to sign an Adoption Contract at the time of adoption. It requires a serious commitment and is a big responsibility to live with a bird in your home. It is our policy to make sure that each person adopting a bird from us can provide suitable housing, is financially capable of providing for the bird, and is educated in the proper care and nutrition required for the bird.
Adoption fees may be required for adopting a bird from us. The fee will depend on the expenses we have incurred, such as veterinary bills and other expenses related to the relinquishment of the bird. Please call us for the fees that will be required to adopt a bird from us.
