Volunteers are an important part of any rescue organization. This is especially important with Colorado Parrot Rescue, Inc. since we are an all volunteer organization. We periodically need people to clean cages; to rebuild and/or make new toys for the birds awaiting adoption; to pick up birds that have been relinquished and/or rescued; to take birds to vet visits; and to pick up supplies and donated cages. On occasion, we also use volunteers to foster birds in order to evaluate their potential for adoption, to provide emergency shelter for birds that must be immediately removed from their home, or to determine if placement in sanctuary is the most appropriate course of action.
